How to apply to the TECTU higher education training program.

Application requirements

The applicants must be students at the MA or PhD levels, researchers or academic teachers, and experts, at either a one of the project's partner universities or other international universities, institutions and laboratories.

Pricing

As the summer school takes place in a venue in the countryside, it is not possible to arrange accommodation elsewhere, nor is it possible to prepare your own food at the summer school.
 
Eating
The price of meals is 210 Euros (approx. 1600 DKK). This price includes dinner on Sunday 14th, all meals, tea, coffee and cake Monday-Friday, and breakfast on Saturday 20th. It is possible to buy additional drinks at the venue.
 
Accommodation
It is possible to stay in 2-, 3-, or 4-person rooms. The price for the full week depends on the type of room:
 
2-person room: Approx. 170 Euros (1250 DKK)
3-person room: Approx. 110 Euros (834 DKK)
4-person room: Approx. 85 Euros (625 DKK)
 
The 3- and 4-person rooms are reserved for participants receiving the grant (see details below). Please write to us if you have requests about which type of room you wish to be assigned.

Registration fee
Teachers/researchers and professionals outside the project's partner universities need to pay a registration fee of 750 Euros. There is no registration fee for students.

What?

Letter of Motivation

All applicants are required to submit a statement of their academic interests and why they are interested in participating in the program. The statement should not exceed 500 words and must be written in English. If you are eligible and would like to apply for the grant, please state so in the letter of motivation.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

All applications must include a curriculum vitae (CV), with personal information, such as name and address as well as a list of former studies and related experience. The CV should be submitted as a PDF attachment in the application. Please include your name in the file name along with a descriptive title, for example: Jane_Smith_CV.pdf.

Transcripts

All applications should be submitted with official transcripts of academic record bearing the seal of the institution and signature of the registrar or other appropriate official. The transcripts should be in English.

Travel and accommodation grants available each year

Participants in the TECTU program include European and international graduate students, advanced undergraduates, researchers, and academic teachers. Each partner university has funding for three students per year. Further information on the travel an accommodation grant can be found here.
